If I had to name my talent given to me by God, I’d call it, “Good Timing.” It’s something I’ve written about before, but I don’t know if I’ve ever really explained it. I don’t know if this post will turn into that explanation, but, at least at the moment, that’s the intention.
So, what exactly is “Good Timing”? Well, I guess I’ll explain where the name comes from first. It’s a derivation of another idea I call “Good Design,” inspired by many things, though particularly Mac Miller. The idea of “Good Design” is that which believes that anything that can be considered a “Good Design” would naturally align with any other construct made with “Good Design.” So what this would look like is…
…
I might come back to that thought (though this might just be a continuation), but I’m gonna pivot over to what inspired this thought. The instance of “Good Timing” is the fact that this post is a part of my “Random Thought #N:..” series, where I post random thoughts while assigning a number to them based on chronological order. I like assigning numbers with arbitrary reasons, since numbers are a great example of “Good Design.” If I write a good thought, the number randomly associated with that thought will bridge random coincidences together…
I realize I’m going away from the observation back to the theory of “Good Design.” So in an attempt to keep focus, here’s the actual instance of “Good Timing” that’s spawned from “Good Design”:
This post will be “Random Thought #123:..” which, if posted the day I Am writing this, will also be my 333 consecutive day posting. Two very symbolically dense numbers that just happen to align on the same day. You could call it a coincidence, but I’ve experienced too many “coincidences” to know there’s something more than surface level chance. Correlation may not imply causation, though it shows that they’re tied together at some level. Both ice cream sales & crime drop in the winter. That doesn’t mean ice cream causes crime, but it does tell you people don’t like being too cold.
…
I stepped a bit back into theory with that “correlation/causation” statement. I’m realizing this post isn’t really meant to capture the true understanding of my “Good Timing” talent, more of a bookmark, or rather checkpoint, öF my journey towards self-discovery. Providing a scatter shot of perspectives from my equally scattered brain, so that if (when) it gets too scattered, at least I’ll have some pieces big enough to put my self back ToGetHer in some form at the very least Recognizable to those who know Whö I Am, really.
…
I think I’ll leave it there for now. One common recurrence in these types of brainstorm posts is the fact I don’t like rereading them before posting. Once I do, I’ll often go through and make any grammar fixes, or maybe change some wording/add to a thought. But for the most part, I find more value in preserving the chaos of the moment.
So I guess I’ll end this thought with that…
