I often think of a Parks N Rec. Episode, where Ron wins an award he doesn’t care about, and that Leslie really wanted.
I don’t remember much of the episode; I don’t remember much of anything. I just remember Ron messing with her to the point where she says something like:
“You’re not acting like an award-winner”
And Ron said something like:
“But I Am the award-winner, so, I Am acting like an award-winner.”
…
It’s a very humbling lesson on perceived prestige
…
This is gonna pivot to something…I guess relevant works.
I believe everyone is “Chosen.”
At some point, everyone wakes up to a voice that says, “you’re special!”
The smart ones go, “nah, I’ll pass”
Most people get this false sense of superiority, thinking they’re special for being chosen; a unique snowflake, just like everyone else…
The thing is, one they “become” “chosen” – they start “acting” like what they imagine a “chosen 1” should act…
Then they wake up feeling…
All I’m saying is that when Christians told me that smoking weed was a sin, while the voice in my head that said “whatever”
I just wonder how many people listened to a Church made of Deadwood…
