They say, “the pathway to Hell is paved with good intentions,” which is a good metaphor, at least by my metrics & standards, basically being it pops up alot in my thoughts, well, alot relatively.
That got me thinking, recently, this particular interpretation, as the power of metaphor is the ability to warp its meaning, thus….

It got me thinking about what metaphors are. I’m reminded of a lesson, i think in 4th grade, where the example explaining the difference between “simile” & “metaphor” being:
Simile: “he acts like a pig”
Vs
Metaphor: “he is a pig”
Metaphor is more literal than simile. So, it got me thinking, what literally is a pathway paved with?

Long story, short – basically, the road to Hell, Michigan & Heaven, Iowa are connected by the same concrete road.
