“I Do (not) Accept That”

I must be feeling more confident right now since I’m not only posting again, I’m talking about the things I used to worry might get me “И Trouble”… let’s say…

Like now, I’m gonna talk about the whole Gaza/Israel thing. Obviously not all at once, nor probably very nuanced. I’ve thought about it a lot, though from, let’s say,  a more detached perspective. I’m not really sure where I’ll start, so let’s just start.

I find it interesting how performative everything surrounding this war is. It reminds me of 9/11 in that sense. People choosing sides not based on what they actually believe, rather how they wanna be perceived. Whatever their vision of “a true American” projected into whatever hot topic exists in the news at the moment.

I’m gonna move away from my more detached perspective and move more into my actual perspective. I could talk around the topic for eternity, but really the only thing of substance I bring to the table is myself.

So, which side do I support?

Neither, really.

Both sides have decided that their cause is worth the death of innocent children. There’s a lot more to it than that, but that’s where my care of it stops.

Who’s right? Who’s wrong? It doesn’t matter; history is written by the victors, and clearly those children won’t be writing any history books…

I do have my ideas on the conflict, admittedly uninformed ideas. Political Science is far more complex than people give credit. If politicians were really as foolish as they appear to you, then why don’t you overcome them with your superior intellect & ability? “They have money & rigged the system!” Yeah, and how do you think they got into that position to do that?

Anyways, it’d be nice if Israel would stop
